2018-19 Schedule
Twelve home games, a trip to Duke, a visit to Madison Square Garden, the program's first game at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall, and a holidays trip to the Valley of the Sun highlight the 2018-19 Princeton men's basketball schedule.
Princeton returns two 2018 All-Ivy League honorees in second-team rising seniors Devin Cannady and Myles Stephens as part of nearly 75 percent of the team's scoring returning from a year ago.
Here are some notes on the slate:
• Princeton's visit to Duke, on Tuesday, Dec. 18, will be its first since opening the 2010-11 season at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils, ranked fourth in the final USA Today Coaches Poll, made the Elite Eight last season.
• Princeton will play at Madison Square Garden for the first time since the 2000 Holiday Classic when the Tigers faced Penn State and Rutgers. This time, Princeton will face St. John's, Sunday, Dec. 9, meeting the Red Storm for the first time since 1982.
• Saturday, Dec. 15, Princeton will play at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall for the first time. The game against Iona will be part of a quadruple-header, the Basketball Hall of Fame's Boardwalk Classic, that includes Penn State against N.C. State, Virginia Tech against Washington, and Temple against Davidson. Tickets can be purchased here.
• Saturday, Dec. 29, Princeton will play at Arizona State, another 2018 NCAA Tournament team, for the first time. It'll be the second meeting between the programs along with a game at the 2007 Maui Invitational, and ASU will return the game in Jadwin in the 2019-20 season.
• Along with the Ivy home schedule, Princeton will have five non-conference home games, including visits from Atlantic-10 opponents George Washington (Saturday, Dec. 1) and Saint Joseph's (Wednesday, Dec. 5). The Tigers will also get a visit from Fairleigh Dickinson (Wednesday, Nov. 21).
• Princeton's remaining non-conference games will include renewals of regional rivalries at Lehigh, Friday, Nov. 16, at Monmouth, Saturday, Nov. 24, and at Lafayette, Friday, Dec. 21. The Tigers will also head to Maine (Wednesday, Nov. 28) for the first time since the teams had a home-and-home series in the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons.
• The Ivy League slate will begin Saturday, Jan. 5 in Jadwin against Penn and conclude with an Ivy weekend visit from Brown and Yale March 8-9.
