Princeton Improves To 11-1 With Win Over Dartmouth
February 03, 2019 | Women's Squash
One day after a tough loss to reigning Howe Cup champion Harvard, the Princeton women's squash team got right back on track with a sweep of Dartmouth Sunday at the Jadwin Squash Courts. Princeton won every individual game en route to its 11th victory of the season.
Freshman Bubble Lui had a strong performance at #1 against Anne Blasberg; after a hard-fought 11-9 opener, Lui controlled the final two games to win 11-6 and 11-4. Classmate Elle Ruggiero allowed the fewest points of any Princeton player (10) in a win at #3, while Raneem El Torky, Andrea Toth and Morgan Steelman each allowed only 11 in their wins at #7 and #8, respectively.
Princeton is now 11-1 on the season, and it can secure the #2 seed at the Howe Cup Championships with wins next weekend over both Columbia and Cornell. That process begins Friday night against Columbia, when the Tigers will honor the Class of 2019 in their final match inside Jadwin Gym.
