In the last game Chris Berger was stoned by Jeremie Forget on a penalty shot. Tonight, he got revenge scoring the game-winning goal at 9:35 of the second period to give Brown a 3-0 win in Game 1 of the ECAC Hockey first-round series.

The goal came off a face-off win in the Princeton zone, as Tristan Crozier won the puck back to Tommy Marchin who ripped a shot from the point. Forget made the initial stop and put a rebound came loose to Berger who finished.

Princeton continued to pressure to try to even things up as time started ticking down but a wrister by Max Gottlieb pushed the Bears ahead with just 2:23 left on the clock.

The Tigers pulled Forget for the extra attacker but Brown quickly gained possession of the puck and popped in the empty net goal at 17:58.

The Tigers were called for twice as many penalties and had more than five fewer minutes on the power play. Forget made nine saves during the penalty kill as Brown came up empty on all four chances.

Princeton's power play was active just one time in the second period on overlapping penalties that led to a 5x3 for 1:31.

Forget finished the game with 33 saves. Gavin Nieto made 21 in goal for the Bears.

Princeton looks to force a Game 3 tomorrow in a must-win Game 2 to keep the Tigers' season alive.
