Princeton in the Pros: Tigers Wrap Up Seasons in Europe

Seven Princeton men's basketball alums competed in professional leagues in the season that just closed, and here's a look at how the Tigers' seasons went:
Ian Hummer '13 began the season with AS Monaco Basket in France's top league, playing in 12 games and averaging six points and four rebounds a game while shooting .556 from two-point range. In January, Hummer moved to BC Nizhny Novgorod in Russia's top league, where he averaged nine points and 5.8 rebounds a game, again shooting .556 from inside the arc. Nizhny Novgorod made the quarterfinals of the European Champions League and the quarterfinals of the Russian league.
T.J. Bray '14 played for Rasta Vechta in Germany's top league, where he was second on the team with 15.6 points a game and dished out a team-best 7.9 assists a game while averaging 3.5 rebounds a contest. Bray shot 41.9 percnet from 3-point range, making 114 3s to stand second on the team, and was .525 from 2-point range. The team went 24-10 in league play and made the league semifinals, and Bray was first-team all-league while finishing second in the voting for league MVP. Clay Wilson '15 played for BC Varga-Velka in Estonia, part of the Estonian-Latvian league. Stats were not available for the team's season. The league wrapped up in April with BK Ventspils, located in Latvia, winning the league title in April.
Hans Brase '17 played for Mitteldeutscher BC in Germany's top league, averaging 5.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 23 games, and shooting .582 from inside the arc. Brase was a 91.7-percent free throw shooter, going 16 of 17 from the stripe. In early June, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, also in Germany's top league, announced it had signed Brase for next season.
Brase's and Bray's teams went head-to-head first in October on Mitteldeutscher's home court, with Bray pouring in 36 points including six 3-pointers while adding eight assists. Brase played 16 minutes off the bench and had a pair of rebounds, two points and three assists as Rasta Vechta won 106-100. Rasta Vechta won the rematch at home in February, 89-79, this time with Brase scoring 12 points, grabbing six rebounds and adding three assists. Bray had five assists and four rebounds, scoring three points.
Steven Cook '17 played the early part of the season for Den Bosch in the Netherlands. In league games, Cook averaged 15 points and 5.4 rebounds in five games, making 76 percent of his tries from inside the arc and 10 of 20 from 3. The team went on to finish 25-8 in the league, making the league semifinals.
Spencer Weisz '17 played for Ashdod in Israel, playing in 26 games and averaging nine points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists, hitting 57.5 percent of his shots from inside the arc. The team finished 13-20 on the season.
Amir Bell '18 played for Moncada Agrigento in Italy's second league. Bell's 10.6 points a game were third on the team, and he added 4.1 rebounds and four assists a game. The team finished 14-14 on the season.
