Aririguzoh and Llewellyn of Men’s Basketball Earn All-Ivy Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its postseason awards for men's basketball Wednesday morning and senior Richmond Aririguzoh and sophomore Jaelin Llewellyn of the Princeton University men's basketball team were among the honorees.
Aririguzoh was named to the All-Ivy League first team and the honor was the second postseason recognition of his career, as he was named to the All-Ivy League second team last season. Llewellyn earned his first All-Ivy recognition and was named to the second team.
Aririguzoh averaged 12.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while shooting .617 from the field this season, which ranks second in the Ivy League and eighth all-time in school history. His 2.9 offensive rebounds per game are an Ivy League-best while his 7.4 rebounds per game rank fourth in the conference. Aririguzoh recorded five double-doubles on the season and scored in double figures in 19 games. Against Arizona State University on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, Aririguzoh finished with 18 rebounds, which was most by a Princeton player since Mason Rocca against Georgetown University in 1999. No Princeton player has had more than 18 rebounds since Bob Roma had 19 rebounds against Villanova University on December 12, 1978. Aririguzoh was also honored as the Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday, December 16, 2019.
Llewellyn led the Tigers in scoring and ranks seventh in the Ivy League with a 15.3 points per game average while he is also the fifth-most accurate free throw shooter in the conference, knocking down .780 of his attempts. Lllewelyn eclipsed the 20-point mark on seven different occasions this season and scored in double figures in 22 games. In Princeton's final game of the regular season against Cornell University on Saturday, March 7, Llewellyn scored a career-high 30 points and tied his career-high in three-pointers made with five. On Monday, January 6, Llewellyn was honored as the Ivy League Player of the Week.
