Catherine Kerin had Princeton's goal midway through the third period as the Tigers battled the Premier Hockey Federation's Metropolitan Riveters to a 2-1 defeat on Saturday at Baker Rink.
Solveig Neunzert and Grace Kuipers had the assists on the Tiger goal after the Riveters got goals from Kendall Cornine eight minutes in and from Madison Packer with five minutes left in the opening period. Netminders Cassie Reale, for the first period, and Jennifer Olnowich, for the final two, kept the Riveters off the board from there.

Princeton will begin the regular season Oct. 29-30 at Yale and Brown before returning home Nov. 5-6 for RPI and Union.
