Women's Hockey Team Drops No. 8 Quinnipiac from Ranks of Unbeaten

One night after eighth-ranked Quinnipiac handed the Princeton women's hockey team its first loss of the season, and on the Tigers' Baker Rink home ice, the Tigers did the same in Connecticut, making a Maggie Connors second-period goal stand up behind 37 saves from Rachel McQuigge.
Now 5-1, Princeton will have three of its next four games against teams in the current top 10, beginning with a Friday visit to No. 5 Colgate before the trip continues at Cornell next Saturday. The Tigers will return home for a two-game series against current No. 4 Northeastern on Nov. 26 and 27.
Connors' goal gave her a team-best six on the season, and it raised her career point total to 97.
To help secure the shutout, the second of the season for both Princeton and McQuigge, Connors also cleared a puck off the goal line in the final minute.
