Jaelin Llewellyn Named Ivy League Player of the Week

IVY LEAGUE RELEASE

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its first weekly honors of the 2021-22 men's basketball season Monday, and senior Jaelin Llewellyn of the Princeton University men's basketball team was named Ivy League Player of the Week.

Through three games, Llewellyn is leading the Tigers in scoring with 12.3 points per game. At the inaugural Asheville Championship, Llewellyn was named to the All-Tournament Team and averaged 17.5 points along with 5.0 rebounds per game.

In Princeton's 66-62 victory over the University of South Carolina on Friday, November 12, Llewellyn finished with 16 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field, and 4-for-8 shooting from three while also pulling down nine rebounds, tying for the team-high. Against the University of Minnesota in a on Sunday, November 14, he finished with a team-high 19 points in a contest that went to double overtime.

A Second Team All-Ivy League selection in 2019-20, this is the second Ivy Player of the Week honor for Llewellyn has received, as he also earned the award on Monday, January 6, 2020.
