Ethan Wright Named Ivy League Player of the Week

IVY LEAGUE RELEASE
PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior Ethan Wright of the Princeton University men's basketball team was honored as the Ivy League Player of the Week Monday afternoon, making it two-straight weeks that a Tigers has been honored as Player of the Week.
Wright helped Princeton earn an 81-80 victory over Oregon State University on Sunday, November 21, inside Gill Coliseum, along with an 80-61 triumph over Marist College on Wednesday, November 17, inside Jadwin Gymnasium. On the week, Wright averaged 19.5 points per game on 13-for-21 shooting from the field (62%), 9-for-15 shooting from three (60%), and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. He also averaged 9.0 rebounds per game.
Against the Beavers he finished with 24 points on 8-for-14 shooting, including a 6-for-11 effort from behind the three-point line while also pulling down 10 rebounds. Wright's point total along with his made three-pointers were all career-highs, besting his previous career-high of 21 points from the Tigers' win over Brown University on Friday, February 15, 2020, along with his four made three-pointers from Princeton's victory over Harvard University on Saturday, February 1, 2020.
On the season, Wright is averaging 13.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Wright's 8.4 rebounds per game rank second in the Ivy League.
In Princeton's win over Marist, Wright shot 5-for-7 from the field and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc for 15 points, and also added eight rebounds.
On Monday, November 15, senior Jaelin Llewellyn was also named Ivy League Player of the Week.
