von Mueller and Benedikter Help Germany Reach 8+ Final at U-23 World Rowing Championships

RACICE, Czech Republic – Two more Tigers raced their way into finals at the U-23 World Rowing Championships.
Tassilo von Mueller '21 and Floyd Benedikter '23 (Germany 8+) help pace the eight to a decisive victory (5:26.30) in its repechage. Germany took home the win by more than four seconds and will race in the final on July 11th at 7:40 a.m. Men's lightweight rower Sydney Edwards is the coxswain for the United States against Germany in the final.
"What a great way to end the U-23 World Rowing Championships with three Princeton Tigers getting a chance at gold," said Princeton head coach Greg Hughes. "We wish Sydney, Tassilo and Floyd the best of luck and hopefully Princeton get bring home a gold medal!"
Jelmer Bennema '23 (Netherlands 4-) and his four were fourth (6:13.92) in their repechage and will be in the C Final on July 10th at 4 a.m.
Keelan Good '24 and Nate Phelps '23 (United States 4x) placed fourth in their repechage (5:58.91) and are now finished for the event.

Erik Spinka '23 (United States 4+) going for gold at 9:15 a.m.
Stephane Pienaar '22 (South Africa 2-) and his teammate Mmbudzeni Masutha take part in the C Final at 4:15 a.m.
