On Princeton: The Tigers are unbeaten through six games for the first time since 2017 (6-0), standing 5-0-1 and outscoring opponents 15-6. A Princeton win or tie against Hofstra would give Princeton its first unbeaten start through seven games since a 12-0 start in 2002. Eleven players have split the goals, with none more than Lily Bryant's three goals, and Princeton has had the last two Ivy League Players of the Week in Tatum Gee and most recently Heather MacNab, who is also the reigning Ivy Rookie of the Week.Â
On Hofstra:Â The Pride, at 7-1, are looking to go 5-0 against the Ivy, already with wins against Brown, Columbia, Penn and Yale. Nine players have scored a goal for Hofstra this season, but Miri Taylor (eight goals, five assists) and Lucy Shepherd (five goals, six assists) lead the way. Primary goalkeeper Skylar Kuzmich carries an 0.52 GAA into the game, and the Pride have outscored opponents this season 24-4.Â
Series History:Â Hofstra leads the all-time series 3-2. The most recent meeting was in 2018 in Princeton, which Princeton won 2-1, though none of the goal scorers or goalkeepers from that game are active players. The other four meetings all came between 2006 and 2010, with Princeton winning 4-0 in 2006 at a Penn-hosted event, and Hofstra winning 1-0 on Long Island in 2008, 2-1 in Princeton in 2009, and 1-0 in Hempstead in 2010.
On Delaware:Â The Blue Hens are 3-5 and don't play again until hosting Princeton on Sunday. Delaware won last time out, last Sunday against Loyola (Md.), a team Princeton also defeated earlier this season. Both teams defeated George Mason as well. The GMU win was Delaware's season opener, and the Blue Hens dropped five of six after that until the Loyola win. Five players have scored a goal for the team this season, with Sara D'Appolonia leading the way with two goals. Lauren Krinsky has played every minute in goal and has a 1.62 GAA.Â
Series History:Â Princeton leads the all-time series 4-2. The Tigers won in 1992, 2000, 2016 and 2017, and the Blue Hens won in 1996 and 2015.
Next Up: This weekend will be the last before conference play for the Tigers, who will host Yale on Sept. 25.Â
