Coming Off Ivy-Opening Win, Tigers to Host Bucknell Tuesday

With a win in the Ivy opener last Saturday against Yale, the Princeton women's soccer team will continue the league slate on Saturday at Dartmouth, but not before hosting Bucknell on Tuesday in what will be the team's second-to-last non-conference game of the regular season.

On Princeton:Â The Tigers are 7-1-1 overall in what is the team's best record through nine games since 2017 (8-1). Thirteen players, the most since 2011, have scored a goal, with freshman Ella Midura becoming the most recent of those in Saturday's win over Yale. In goal, though senior Grace Barbara (1.11 GAA) has played in eight of the nine games this season, freshman Tyler McCamey has split time with Barbara in two of those games and gone the full 90 in another, with all three coming against non-conference opponents. Princeton stands 34th in the nation in RPI as the league has four teams, half the conference, in the national top 75 in that metric and no teams in the bottom 100.
On Bucknell:Â The Bison are 5-5-1 and had a three-game win streak going before running into Patriot League foe Colgate on Saturday. Six players have contributed to the team's 17 total goals, with junior Rylee Donaldson getting six of them and four coming in the team's last four games. Sophomore Jenna Hall (1.49 GAA) has played all but a half in goal this season. The game will be the team's last non-conference game of the regular season. Bucknell will be the second of three Patriot League opponents for Princeton this season, with the Tigers having defeated Loyola (Md.) 2-1 on Aug. 27 and facing Lehigh in Bethlehem on Oct. 19.
Series History: Princeton is 8-1-1 all-time against Bucknell with a four-game unbeaten streak and two-game winning run in the series. Bucknell tied Princeton in 2016 in Princeton and won in 2007 in Lewisburg. Among current Tigers, Olivia Kane had a goal in the 4-0 win in Lewisburg in 2017, and Gabi Juarez had the lone goal in the 1-0 win in Princeton in 2018 in the teams' last meeting. Grace Barbara played the second half of that 2018 game, making one save. No current Bison have scored or played in goal against Princeton. The series had games in five straight seasons from 1995 through 1999, all Princeton wins, again in 2007 and 2008 for a split, and again from 2016-18, with two Princeton wins and a tie.
