Men's Basketball Wins 10th-Straight, Upends Dartmouth 84-80

HANOVER, N.H. – With assistance from four double-digit scorers, the Princeton University men's basketball team overcame a nine-point deficit to win its 10th-straight game and move to 5-0 in Ivy League play after an 84-80 triumph at Dartmouth College, Saturday afternoon inside Leede Arena.
Junior Tosan Evbuomwan tied for the game-high with 19 points on 9-for-17 shooting, and also added a game-high four assists, along with a team-high seven rebounds. Junior Ryan Lanborg also scored a career-high 19 points, going 6-for-12 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line, while senior Ethan Wright added his sixth double-double of the season with 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field, 3-for-5 shooting from three, and a game-high 13 rebounds. Senior Drew Friberg chipped in 11 points, going 4-for-8 from the field, and 3-for-6 from deep.
As a team, Princeton went 33-for-67 from the field (49.3%) and 11-for-23 (47.8%) from behind the three-point line.
Evbuomwan had a dominant start to the game, scoring or assisting on the Tigers' first four basket. Despite Evbuomwan's early output, the Tigers trailed 11-8 at the first media timeout, with 15:05 on the clock.
Senior Elijah Barnes stepped into a three-pointer from the top of the circle at 12:21 that made it a 20-18 contest as the Tigers chipped away at the Big Green's advantage. With 10:42 remaining an Evbuomwan layup sparked a 9-0 run, that saw the Tigers tie it up, 27-27, following a Langborg three-pointer with 7:55 remaining in the half.
Wright gave the Tigers a 44-41 advantage with a three-pointer at 19:19, but Dartmouth bounced back and took a 56-53 lead with 14:55 remaining. The Tigers would chip away at the lead, and jump ahead 66-65 following an Allocco free throw, with 10:58 on the clock.
A senior Jaelin Llewellyn layup with 9:31 left to play led off a 6-0 run, that gave the Tigers a 72-67 advantage after a layup by Evbuomwan with 7:25 on the clock. A Friberg three-pointer at 6:47 saw the Tigers surge ahead, 75-69.
Langborg was calm and collected down the stretch, going 4-for-4 from the free throw line inside the final 15 seconds, helping the Tigers hold on for the victory with a final score of 84-80.

The Big Green responded with a 5-0 run and took a 32-27 lead at 6:01, but a Friberg three with 3:54 on the clock kept it close, 36-32.
