Anthony Monte Helps Lead Men’s Cross Country to First Place at IC4A Championship

Bronx, N.Y. – The Princeton Men's Cross-Country team wrapped up its' regular season on a high note in Van Cortlandt Park at the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America (IC4A) Championship.
Not only did the men take first place as a team, but sophomore Anthony Monte finished the Men's 8K Race in first with a time of 23:52.8. With a total of 358 runners competing in Friday's race, the men showed a very strong performance in having five tigers finish in the Top-20.
Junior, Connor Nisbet came in third place with a time of 24:04.5, Junior Josh Zelek finished in fourth (24:05.4), Freshman Myles Hogan came in 12th (24:23.7), and Junior Duncan Miller finished in 13th (24:25.6).
The eight remaining Tigers who raced in the Men's 8K also helped to secure Princeton's team victory with a group effort of strong performances. The team will now look ahead to the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships where the team will return to Van Cortlandt Park later this month, and plans to continue to compete at a high level throughout the post-season.
