Ivy League Names Xaivian Lee Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its weekly awards for men's basketball Monday afternoon, and freshman Xaivian Lee of the Princeton University men's basketball team was named Rookie of the Week after helping lead the Tigers to the 2022 London Basketball Classic Championship.

Princeton first defeated Army, 74-66, on Thursday, November 25, then took down Northeastern in the Championship Game, 56-54, on Saturday, November 27, with both contests taking place inside Copper Box Arena.

Lee ended the tournament as the Tigers' second-leading scorer with an average of 10.5 points per game. He also shot 50.0% from three, 45.5% from the field and 80.0% from the free throw line.

In Princeton's win over Army, Lee finished with nine points, and two rebounds. He backed that performance up with 12 points on 3-for-6 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 shooting from the free line in the Tigers' win over Northeastern.

Lee and the Tigers will be in action next on Wednesday, November 30, at 7:00 p.m. inside Jadwin Gymnasium against Cairn.
