Richmond Aririguzoh ’20 Signs With Kangoeroes Mechelen

MECHELEN, Belgium – Princeton University men's basketball alumni Richmond Aririguzoh '20 will continue his professional career with Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen.
Kangoeroes Mechelen plays in the BNXT League, and is coming off a 2021-22 season where they finished fifth in the standings with a 25-13 record. The 2022-23 season is set to begin on Friday, September 30.
Myles Stephens '19 played for Kangoeroes Mechelen in 2021-22, and was second on the team in scoring (14.9), rebounding (11.9), steals (1.2), and blocks (0.7).
Aririguzoh most recently played for HAKRO Crailshem Merlins in the German Bundesliga in 2021-22, and began his professional career with Horsens IC, where he averaged 10.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in 2020-21.
He joins Ryan Schwieger '21 (Rasta Vechta), Devin Cannady '20 (Orlando Magic), Myles Stephens '19 (Kangoeroes Mechelen), Amir Bell '18 (Brose Bamberg), Spencer Weisz '17 (Hapoel Haifa), Henry Caruso '17 (Donar Groningen), and Ian Hummer '13 (AEK Athens) as Princeton alumni playing professional basketball.
A two-time All-Ivy League honoree, Aririguzoh led the nation in true shooting percentage (.721 percent) in and was named to the Ivy League All-Tournament Team in 2018-19. His career field goal percentage of .636 ranks second all-time in school history, while he also holds the second-highest single season shooting percentage in school history when he shot .693 percent in 2018-19. Aririguzoh had a penchant for clutch plays at Princeton, knocking down game-winning free throws against No. 17 Arizona State University in the Tigers' 67-66 win on Saturday, December 29, 2018, and in Princeton's 70-69 win over Harvard University on Saturday, February 1 2020. He ended his career as a Tiger with 755 points, 437 rebounds, 117 assists and 53 blocks.
Along with his individual accolades, Aririguzoh was also part of the Tigers' 2016-17 team that went 14-0 in Ivy League play, won the Ivy League title and made it to the NCAA Tournament.
