Fillier Scores Twice, Paul Nets Winner as No. 13/14 Princeton Tops No. 6 Cornell

Sarah Paul had the game-winning goal with six-plus minutes to go after Sarah Fillier had a pair of goals and Annie Kuehl opened the scoring as the No. 13/14-ranked Princeton women's hockey team knocked off No. 6 Cornell on Saturday afternoon in Ithaca.
Princeton trailed just 67 seconds in after a Kaitlin Jockims goal, but Kuehl converted a breakaway six-plus minutes in to tie it, and Fillier's first goal, a blast in the slot, gave Prineton its first lead of the game nine minutes in. Cornell's Lily Delianedis tied it with three-plus minutes to go in the first period as the teams entered the first ice cut tied at 2-2.
Fillier converted on a 5-on-3 in the first minute of the second period with a shot from the top of the circle to Cornell netminder Annelies Bergmann's left to give Princeton a 3-2 lead.
Cornell tied it once more on an Karel Prefontaine goal less than three minutes into the third, but Paul's game-winner came on a play that began with a Catherine Kerin takeaway and a puck sent up the boards for Paul to finish along the goal line.
Jennifer Olnowich had the win in goal, getting 28 saves.
With Fillier's two goals, which came in her 100th game as a Tiger, lifted her to 70 career goals and 161 career points. The goals lifted her into 13th place on Princeton's all-time scoring list, and Fillier remained in sixth place on the career points list.
Off next weekend, the Tigers will host RPI and Union Dec. 1 and 2 at Baker Rink.
