Another Night, Another OT Winner as Tigers Sweep Weekend
February 11, 2023 | Women's Ice Hockey
The Tigers will head to Clarkson and St. Lawrence next weekend to close the regular season before Princeton begins the ECAC Hockey quarterfinal best-of-three series on the road at an opponent to be determined next weekend.
Both teams had leads and were never more than a goal apart Saturday, and Princeton's Stef Wallace opened the scoring with just 23 seconds to go in the first period when Jane Kuehl set up a one-timer across the slot for Wallace, who buried it to get the Tigers on the board.

Rensselaer tied it with an Ellie Kaiser power-play goal in the opening minute of the second period, but Princeton took the lead less than eight minutes into the period when Mariah Keopple threaded it through from distance just after a Tiger power-play came to an end. The goal came on Senior Night for Keopple and Princeton's five-member senior class, including Maggie Connors, Kayla Fillier, Chloe Harvey and Solveig Neunzert.

RPI ties it up on a power-play goal, and the Tigers answer with a (near) power-play goal of their own! Mariah Keopple with the blast!

Rensselaer had the next two, both from Maddy Papineau as she bookended the second ice cut to give the Engineers their only lead of the game. Papineau's first tied it at 2-2 with three minutes left in the second period, and less than four minutes into the third period, with an extra attacker on thanks to a delayed penalty, Papineau scored again to put Rensselaer up 3-2.
After Papineau had her two-goal game, Annie Kuehl matched that, first by tying the game at 3-3 on a power-play goal off a shot from the top of the faceoff circle to Rensselaer goalie Amanda Rampado's left.

It stayed 3-3 through the last six-plus minutes of regulation and into the final minute of the overtime. Off a Taylor Hyland save, the puck skittered past Keopple and Annie Kuehl picked it up at her own blue line, skating it the back up the ice and into the slot where she buried the winner.
