Tosan Evbuomwan Named to NCAA South Region All-Tournament Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The NCAA announced its All-Tournament Teams Sunday night, and senior Tosan Evbuomwan of the Princeton University men's basketball team was an honoree in the South Region after helping lead the Tigers to the Sweet Sixteen.
Over the Tigers' three NCAA Tournament games, Evbuomwan averaged 16.0 points-per-game, 7.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists, while also blocking two shots and recording two steals.
In Princeton's Round of 32 59-55 win over No. 2 seed and eighth-ranked Arizona on Thursday, March 16, Evbuomwan finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal. He followed that performance up with nine points, nine rebounds, five assists and one block in the Tigers' 78-63 victory over No. 7 seed Missouri on Saturday, March 18. On Friday, March 24, he had 24 points, nine assists, six rebounds and one steal against No. 6 seed Creighton.
Evbuomwan's All-Tournament Team honor adds to an impressive list of accolades in 2022-23 that includes National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 13 First Team, Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player, Unanimous Ivy League First Team, Academic All-Ivy League, College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, London Basketball Classic MVP, and London Basketball Classic All-Tournament Team.
In addition, Evbuomwan's 158 assists in 2022-23 rank No. 2 all-time in program history for most assists in a season, and his 323 career assists rank No. 6 on the Tigers' all-time list for assists. Evbuomwan also joined the 1,000-point club in 2022-23, and his 1,033 points rank No. 34 all-time in school history.
