No. 4 Heavies Battle No. 10 Brown For Content Cup Saturday

PRINCETON – The No. 4 Men's Heavyweight Rowing Team hosts the No. 10 Brown Bears for the Content Cup at Lake Carnegie on Saturday.

The Tigers are coming off a close loss to No. 2 Yale last week for the Carnegie Cup.

In the first varsity, Yale (5:36.8) rallied over the final 500m to catch Princeton (5:37.7) and earn a .9 second victory. The Bulldogs took home a 2.9-second decision (5:52.1) over Princeton (5:55.) at 2V while also earning victories at 3V, 4V and 5V.

The Bears took the Content Cup last year with a 2.7-second win in the V8. Brown also earned wins at 2V8, 3V8, 4V8 and 5V8. Four of the five races were decided by four seconds or less.

Princeton's varsity eight has lost to just No. 2 Yale in 2023, dropping No. 6 Harvard, No. 12 Cornell, No. 14 Penn, No. 15 Navy, No. 16 Drexel, No. 19 Columbia, No. 20 Temple and No. 22 Georgetown.
