Bandura and Chmielewski Help Baseball Secure Split Vs. Penn

Scott Bandura began the contest with an impressive two-run double down the left field line that plated Eric Marasheski and Matt Scannell in the top of the third inning.
Penn retook the lead with a four-spot in the bottom of the frame with a Wyatt Henseler two-run single putting the home team in front.
Marasheski doubled home Caden Shapiro to get the Tigers back within one, but a five-run fourth frame put the game out of reach.
A Brendan Cumming double and Bandura single finished the scoring in the ninth.
Scannell, Marasheski and Bandura each had two hits while Bandura had three RBI. Reece Rabin threw the final four innings, allowing just one hit and one run.
Princeton 5, Penn 0
Tom Chmielewski retired six straight hitters from the first through the third innings before a double with two out. He finished off the frame with a strikeout looking.
In the fourth, Bandura hit a rocket over the right field fence to put Princeton up 1-0.
After the first two hitters reached for the Tigers in the fifth, a sacrifice bunt moved the runners into scoring position for Kevin Blowers. With two strikes, Blowers knocked a two-run single to center field giving Princeton a 3-0 lead.
Chmielewski threw a 1-2-3 shutdown inning in the fifth and retired 12 straight hitters before a two-out double in the eighth inning. After a hit-by-pitch, a fielders' choice ended the Penn threat.
In the top of the eighth, a Kyle Vinci RBI single and an error pushed the road team's advantage to five.
Justin Kim struck out the side in the ninth to help the Tigers secure a split.
Bandura had two more hits in this contest, giving him four on the day. He has a 10-game hitting streak with eight multi-hit performances during that stretch.
Princeton and Penn wrap up the series on Sunday with first pitch set for 12 p.m.
