PRINCETON – The Princeton Boathouse will have 11 former alumni participate at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia (Sept. 3-10).
The 2023 World Rowing Championships is the first opportunity for countries to qualify boats for Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The men's heavyweight team will have Tom George '18 (Great Britain 2-), Fred Vystavel '16 (Denmark 2-), Dan DeGroot '19 (Canada 4x), Jonas Juel '22 (Norway 4x), Tim Masters '15 (Australia 8+) and Nick Mead '17 (United States 4-) in the championships.
George, Vystavel, Masters and Mead are all Olympians from Tokyo. George, Masters and Mead raced in the Eight Grand Final with George earning a bronze medal. Vystavel also collected a bronze in the 2- the day before.
The Princeton women's crew will have Hannah Scott '21 (Great Britain 4x), Flo Donald '22 (Great Britain spare), Claire Collins '19 (United States 4-), Kelsey Reelick '14 (United States 4-) and Emily Kallfelz '19 (United States' 4x) representing their countries.
Scott and Collins were Olympians for their countries in Tokyo while Reelick was on the 2011 varsity eight national championship boat.
