PRINCETON, N.J. – Freshman Malik Abdullahi of the Princeton University men's basketball team was honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. Monday.

In 19.9 minutes-per-game in the Tigers' two games last week, Abdullahi averaged 9.5 points on 64.3% shooting and 3.5 rebounds. Against Loyola Chicago on Nov. 15 inside Jadwin Gymnasium in his first career start, Abdullahi scored 11 points on 5-for-8 shooting and had four rebounds along with one block. He followed that up with eight points on 4-for-6 shooting and three rebounds in the Tigers' 68-57 win over Merrimack on Nov. 17 in North Andover, Massachusetts.

Abdullahi's field goal percentage of 72.0% currently leads the Ivy League.
