Baseball Travels To Brown This Weekend

PRINCETON – The Princeton Baseball Team heads on the road to take on the Brown Bears this weekend.
The two Ivy foes will play in a doubleheader starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The two finish the series with a single contest at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
The Tigers are 7-15 this season and 3-3 in the Ivy League after dropping two of three to the Yale Bulldogs last weekend.
Columbia is at the top of the Ivy standings at 5-1 followed by Cornell at 4-2. Penn, Yale, and Princeton are all 3-3. Dartmouth, Brown, and Harvard are 2-4. The top four teams will play in the Ivy League Tournament hosted by the No. 1 seed.
Jake Bold leads the team in hitting (.315), on-base percentage (.485), slugging (.493), runs (16) and walks (23). He's reached base in 21 of the team's 22 games this season. Jake Koonin is second on the Tigers in hitting (.288), slugging (.488), on-base percentage (.376) and paces the unit in RBI (23).
Jacob Faulkner has appeared in half of Princeton's games this season, sporting a 3.60 ERA in 30 innings along with 25 strikeouts. He's also collected three wins and two saves. Justin Kim has gone at least six innings in each of his last three starts, sitting with a 4.68 ERA in 32 2/3 frames. Sean Episcope has 29 punchouts in 26 innings.
Brown is 7-15 in 2024 with victories over UT Martin, Stetson, Davidson, Bryant, Stonehill and Harvard. Gunner Boree leads the team in hitting (.352) and OPS (1.090) while hitting two home runs and nine RBI in 18 games for the Bears.
