Women’s Cross Country Begins Season by Hosting New Jersey Jam

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's cross country program will begin the 2024 season on Sept. 6 by hosting the New Jersey Jam.
The meet will be held at the Meadows Campus section of Princeton University.
The Tigers enter the season after placing second at the 2023 Ivy League Cross Country Championships. Returning Tiger Mena Scatchard was named Second-Team All-Ivy after placing 14th (21:29.9) in the race.
Princeton also took sixth at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals in 2023, with Scatchard placing 35th (20:54.0).
Amongst the returning Tigers are Olivia Martin and Anna Chittenden, both of whom competed at the 2023 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, placing 84th (21:37.5) and 44th (21:03.8) respectively in a field of 196.
In addition to the returners, the Tigers are welcoming six new cross country runners in the Class of 2028, including Emma De Jong, Finia Kretschmann, Sofia Lieberman, Meg Madison, Margaret Thompson and Fleur Todd-Warmouth.
Brad Hunt is entering his ninth season as head coach, and has coached five student-athletes to First Team All-Ivy honors (most recently Fiona Max in 2023), 12 to Second Team All-Ivy honors, and 18 to All-Region honors.
