About the Tigers
- Last weekend, Princeton split on the road to compete in the F&M Open and a dual with Morgan State.
- At F&M, two Tigers won third place in their respective weight classes, with Kole Mulhauser taking bronze in the 184 class and Eligh Rivera taking third in the 141 class. Chris Martino also took sixth in the 149 class.
- Mulhauser had a dominant performance on the day, going undefeated in matches wrestled with three tech fall victories and two major decisions on his road to the podium.
- #30/28 Eligh Rivera also had a series of strong performances, going 5-1 on the day with a pin over Joe Fernau (Air Force), followed up with two tech falls and two decisions.
- At Morgan State, the Tigers went undefeated with a 46-0 victory that included fall victories for Drew Heethius and #29/27 Mikey Squires, and tech falls for three other Tigers.
- After a forfeit win at Morgan State, #6/8 Ty Whalen is 10-0 on the season after a 17-13 decision victory from behind over Sam Hillegas during Princeton's dual with West Virginia on January 4th. The sophomore also won his weight class at the Princeton Open on November 3rd and has gone 5-0 in duals since.
- Before last weekend, Princeton dropped a home dual with no. 22 West Virginia, 27-12, with four Tigers picking up wins in the contest, including Whalen, Rivera, Squires and first-year Dan Jones.
- Princeton is 3-5 in dual meets so far this year, with its two other wins against LIU and UTC.
About the Coaches
- The Tigers are led by two-time national champion Head Coach Joe Dubuque, in his second season at the helm of the program. Joining Dubuque this year are two new assistant coaches - Cody Brewer, who comes to Princeton from Virginia Tech, and 2019 NCAA Champion Anthony Ashnault, who is beginning his coaching career after an impressive collegiate wrestling career at Rutgers.

- The Golden Eagles' sole win this season came on the road at Bloomsburg on Dec. 19.
- Adrian Gacek started the run with a 14-8 decision at 184 pounds, Ethan Wiant following with an 8-1 victory at 197.
- Clarion's sole ranked wrestler, John Worthing (174) did not see action against the Edinboro, but currently sits at #30 on Intermat.
- Clarion holds the 4-0 advantage in its series history with Princeton, with the last matchup dating back to 2012.
