PRINCETON, N.J. – Coming off a dominant win over Clarion, the Princeton wrestling team is gearing up for another big weekend of competition, beginning with a home dual against Jersey rival Rider on Friday and the start of Ivy League action on the road Sunday against Columbia. Friday's dual is scheduled for 7 p.m., while Sunday's Ivy opener will begin at 2 p.m.

About the Tigers
- The Tigers are coming off a 42-3 win over Clarion on the road last Sunday. First-years Marc-Anthony McGowan and Dan Jones each earned fall victories, with McGowan's in just 47 seconds. Four other Tigers also earned tech falls in the match.
- #16/19 Luke Stout returned to the mat for the first time since early December, earning a 17-1 tech fall in his first match back.
- Three Tigers were ranked in the first NCAA Coaches poll, as announced on Thursday. Ty Whalen sits in eighth, while McGowan is ranked 22nd and Eligh Rivera is ranked 25th.
- #6/8 Whalen is 11-0 this season after picking up a tech fall this weekend. The sophomore also won his weight class at the Princeton Open on November 3rd and has gone 5-0 in duals since.
- Before Clarion, Princeton split on the road to compete in the F&M Open and a dual with Morgan State. At F&M, two Tigers won third place in their respective weight classes, with Kole Mulhauser taking bronze in the 184 class and Eligh Rivera taking third in the 141 class. Chris Martino also took sixth in the 149 class. At Morgan State, the Tigers took the dual meet 46-0.
- Princeton is now 4-5 in dual meets so far this year, with its two other wins against LIU and UTC.
About the Coaches
- The Tigers are led by two-time national champion Head Coach Joe Dubuque, in his second season at the helm of the program. Joining Dubuque this year are two new assistant coaches - Cody Brewer, who comes to Princeton from Virginia Tech, and 2019 NCAA Champion Anthony Ashnault, who is beginning his coaching career after an impressive collegiate wrestling career at Rutgers.

- Rider is 2-6 on the season, capturing a notable 18-17 win over #24 Maryland in late December.
- Rider is coming off a doubleheader on January 11th that featured a 30-9 loss to #13 Iowa State and a 23-15 loss to Bucknell.
