Princeton faced No. 25 Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse on Nov. 16 and fell, 76-57. The Tigers made the Jayhawks earn it and led 18-13 with 10:44 remaining in the first. It was also a one-point game, 44-43, with 14:23 left to play. Dalen Davis led Princeton with 21 points while Jack Stanton scored 15 and Jackson Hicke 12.

Dalen Davis has led the Tigers in scoring through four games and ranks seventh in the Ivy League, averaging 17.5 points-per-game. Davis also ranks ninth in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.4) and tenth in assists (3.3).

Davis scored 25 points for the second time in his career in the Tigers' win over Bucknell on Nov. 11. He went 8-for-16 from the field, 2-for-4 from three and 7-for-8 from the free throw line, both career-highs, while adding three rebounds and three assists. Dalen Davis, a 2024 Ivy Madness All-Tournament Team selection and a one-time Ivy Player of the Week, is set to lead Princeton's backcourt in 2025-26. Last season he averaged 9.2 points-per-game, 2.0 rebounds along 1.6 assists, and scored in double figures 13 times. During non-conference play last season, he was the Tigers' second-leading scorer and averaged 11.7 points while shooting 38.7% from three.

Strong Start For Jackson Hicke
Through four games, Hicke is averaging 11.0 points-per-game on 44.1% shooting from the field and 4.3 rebounds. He currently ranks fifth in the Ivy League in three-point percentage (56.3%). Against Akron, Hicke scored a career and team-high 15 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field. He also tallied two rebounds, two assists and one steal. Hicke also connected on a career-high four three-pointers against No. 25 Kansas.

Hicke started eight games in 2024-25 and averaged 5.5 points and shot 47.0% from the field. He scored in double-figures six times, including on Feb. 28 when he scored a career-high 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting at Columbia.

Abdullahi, who started 18 games a freshman in 2024-25 and was named Ivy Rookie of the Week on Nov. 18, is primed for a breakout season. Last season he averaged 4.3 points on 57.0% shooting and 2.7 rebounds. On Nov. 10, Abdullahi made the game-winning basket in a victory at Northeastern.

CJ Happy started the final 10 games of the 2024-25 season and appeared in 25. On the season he averaged 5.0 points and 2.0 rebounds, and his career-high against a DI opponent came on Nov. 24 in the Tigers' win over Portland at the Myrtle Beach Invitational when he recorded 16 points on 7-for-9 shooting along with four rebounds.

Jacob Huggins gave the Tigers a significant boost off the bench against Bucknell, finishing with 11 points, four rebounds and a game and career-high four assists. In addition to making his first career three-pointer, Huggins set career-highs in free throws made (6) and attempted (10).

In 12 minutes in his first college game against Akron, Hammond scored six points on 2-for-2 shooting from the field and 2-for-2 shooting from the free throw line. Whitfield scored six points and knocked down two three-pointers in 13 minutes while McSweeney scored three points and recorded four rebounds and one assist in eight minutes.

A Homecoming For Mike Brennan
Mike Brennan returned to the Tigers' staff as the Ted Athanassiades '61 Association Head Coach ahead of the 2025-26 season. An assistant coach at Cornell during 2024-25, Brennan served as head coach at American from 2013-23 and as an assistant at Princeton from 2000-07. As a player, Brennan was a four-year starter under Pete Carril and helped the Tigers earn NCAA Tournament appearances in 1991 and 1992.

A Different Type Of Homecoming For Mathew Johnson
A native of Columbus, New Jersey, Mathew Johnson returns to his home state as assistant coach of the Tigers for 2025-26. Johnson was on staff at UConn from 2019-2025 and won national championships in 2023 and 2024 with the Huskies.
