Princeton Roars Past Yale 3-0 Into Ivy Final Rematch With Harvard
November 07, 2025 | Field Hockey
Pru Lindsey and Anna Faulstich didn't find their names on the All-Ivy League field hockey teams that were released this week. How did they handle it? They put their names on the scoresheet in the first half of Princeton's Ivy League tournament semifinal game against Yale Friday afternoon.
Lindsey scored four minutes into the game and Faulstich added one of her own in the second quarter to lead Princeton to a 3-0 win over the Bulldogs on Berylson Field. Lindsey also had an assist on Princeton's third goal, along with Izzy Morgan, on Beth Yeager's drag flick penalty corner score in the third quarter.Â
This is the third year of the Ivy League tournament and will be the third meeting in the final between the Tigers and Crimson, with Harvard a 2-1 winner in both previous meetings, one on a goal with 34 seconds left and another on a goal in OT. The winner will get the Ivy League's automatic NCAA tournament bid, though both teams are locks to be in the field and, with RPIs of No. 2 (Harvard) and No. 3 (Princeton) very much in the mix to be at home next weekend when the tournament starts.Â
Lindsey now has five goals and nine assists on the season, while Faulstich had her second goal to go with seven assists. Both sophomores have had breakout seasons, All-Ivy honors notwithstanding. Yeager's goal was her 11th of the season and 55th of her career. Â
Princeton outshot Yale 9-3 as it controlled possession throughout. Ottilie Sykes started both of the first two scoring plays with long passes to get the ball up the field.
Yale, with an RPI of 10, still has a very legitimate chance at an at-large NCAA bid of its own.Â

The win advanced Princeton into the championship game Sunday at noon against host Harvard, who defeated Brown in the first semifinal 2-0. The Crimson are 17-0 on the year and the lone unbeaten team in Division I, while Princeton improved to 14-3 with its 10th straight victory.ÂTigers get the early lead, thanks to Pru, in second ILT semi.
