A Shutout and Two Early Goals Lead To Women’s Hockey Victory Over Harvard

PRINCETON, N.J.- The energy of the Princeton women's hockey team was contagious. Coming off an overtime win over the Dartmouth Big Green and ready to celebrate Denna Day, nothing was going to stop the Tigers from pulling off the win over the Harvard Crimson. Early goals and a Jennifer Olnowich shutout helped lead Princeton to a weekend sweep at Baker Rink.
Just past the three minute mark of the contest Mackenzie Alexander tallied a goal for the Tigers off a rebound on Sarah Pau's shot on the power play. The team now owns a 28.2% success rate on the man advantage.
Issy Wunder followed that up with a goal of her own as she took advantage of the Crimson keeper being out of position to make it a two-nothing lead.
The two scores would prove to be enough as neither team found the back of the net for the rest of the game.
Jennifer Olnowich added her second shutout of the season to her stat sheet and made 21 saves between the pipes.
Princeton will be back on the bus for its final regular season road weekend. The Tigers will face
Clarkson and St. Lawrence on Feb. 7-8 respectively.
