February 07, 2025 | Women's Ice Hockey
POTSDAM – The No. 12 Princeton Women's Hockey Team rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie the No. 10 Clarkson Golden Knights, 2-2, at Cheel Arena on Friday evening.
After overtime, the Golden Knights took home a 1-0 decision in the shootout.
Princeton's Jennifer Olnowich kept Clarkson off the scoreboard in the first period with 11 stops. The Tigers could not convert their only power play in the first 20 minutes as the two ECAC rivals were tied 0-0 at the intermission.
Clarkson broke through with two power play goals in the second frame, but Princeton quickly answered.
Hannah Fetterolf stole a pass and whipped a shot in the back of the net to close the gap to one, at 9:54 mark.
Five minutes later, Sarah Paul added her 25th goal of the season as she found open ice in front of Clarkson's goalie Holly Gruber.
Neither team could score again in regulation. Olnowich earned Princeton at least a point with 14 of her 32 stops coming in the third period.
In overtime, the Tigers peppered Gruber but could not find the game winner.
Paul finished the night with a goal and an assist, giving her seven points in her last five games and Olnowich was honored as the second star of the game.

If you're going to give Sarah open ice like that ... that's too easy for her.
