No. 4 Women's Rowing Opens 2025 Season Against No. 7 Brown

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Rowing Team opens the 2025 season against the Brown Bears at Lake Carnegie on Saturday.

Princeton and Brown will face off for the Class of 1987 Trophy, a trophy that the Tigers have won six straight times. Princeton leads the all-time series, 24-12. Action begins at 9 a.m. with the first varsity followed by the varsity fours at 9:15, second varsity at 9:30, B4/C4s at 9:45 and 3V/4V8 at 10 a.m.
The Tigers return all five All-Americans from last season in Katherine George, Zoe Scheske, Margot LeRoux, Sara Covin and Katharine Kalap. Those five were on the first varsity that finished fourth at the NCAA Rowing Championships and helped the team finished fourth overall. It was the first time the Tigers have been in the top four in three consecutive seasons since 2010-13.
That boat went unbeaten during the regular season and won the Ivy League title for head coach Lori Dauphiny's squad.
At the Paris Olympic Games in the summer, Princeton had four alumnae in Claire Collins '19, Kelsey Reelick '14, Emily Kallfelz '19 and Hannah Scott '21 represent their countries. Reelick '14 and Kallfelz '19 led the U.S. four to fourth overall while Collins' 19 helped the U.S. eight to fifth.
Scott '21 helped the Great Britian quad sculls to gold. Scott became the first rowing gold for Princeton since Caroline Lind '06. One day later, Nick Mead '17 joined Scott as he led the U.S. men's four to the top spot.
