PRINCETON, N.J. – Coming off another outstanding weekend, the Princeton men's track and field team will return to the Ott Center in Philadelphia on Friday for the Penn Invite.Â
Â
Jackson Clarke had a record-breaking day last Saturday at the Penn Elite, as he ran the 200m in 20.63 to set a new Ivy League record. The mark set a new NCAA second-best time this season. For his performance, Clarke was named the Ivy League Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Adding another NCAA top-10 performance to the tally, the Tigers' 4x400 squad of Jonathan York, Karl Dietz, Xavier Donaldson and Joey Gant ran a blazing time of 3:07.32. The mark set a new #10 time in the NCAA, and ranks second all-time in Princeton history. The performance was also a Penn Elite meet record.
Â
Clarke's Ivy record was the second one to fall to the Tigers this season, as Greg Foster set a new league record in the long jump at the Quaker Invitational with a mark of 8.07m.Â
Â
The Tigers enter the 2025-26 indoor track season chasing a third-consecutive Ivy League Triple Crown. This Fall, the Tigers continued their streak of success as they won the 2025 cross country championship.Â
Â
Last year, Princeton completed its 12th all-time and second-consecutive Triple Crown by winning the 2025 Outdoor Heps Championship.Â
Â
In the indoor season, Princeton dominated, claiming the Ivy title by a margin of 85 points. Across the meet, the Tigers had seven individual Ivy Champions and two relay wins.
Â
Of last year's indoor individual champions, four will return in Joe Licata (SP), Foster (LJ), Clarke (200m) and Gant (400m).
Â
The entire 4x400 champion squad of Miller, York, Dietz, and Donaldson also returns, alongside Collin Boler of the 4x800 championship team.
Â
The Tigers are led by Jason Vigilante, in his third year at the helm. Since being named the head coach, Vigilante has led the Tigers to two Triple Crowns. He was named the 2025 Outdoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, and the 2025 Indoor and Outdoor Ivy Coach of the Year.Â
