Princeton (2-1), No. 4 in the nation, had wins over No. 9 Drexel and No. 15 Williams around a loss to No. 4 Stanford in the 2025 portion of the schedule. Rookie sisters Alex Jaffe and Sam Jaffe lead the Tigers at 3-0 on the season with Alex Jaffe's wins coming between first and second positions and Sam Jaffe's between fourth and fifth.
Virginia, ranked No. 6 in the nation, enters the match at 6-2, winning its first five matches of the season, including against three of Princeton's Ivy League foes in Dartmouth, Yale and Columbia before losses to Penn and Harvard. A win over Cornell was the Cavaliers' last match, on Dec. 6.
Princeton is 10-0 all-time against the Cavaliers, with all but one of the 10 matches coming since the 2017-18 season, including back-to-back wins last season in the regular-season finale and the CSA team tournament quarterfinals.
Following the match, Princeton will head to Amherst on Monday, Jan. 12, before beginning Ivy League play at Yale on Jan. 17.
