Princeton Tops Dartmouth 5-0 to Open Weekend Trip
February 06, 2026 | Women's Ice Hockey
Issy Wunder scored twice, Riley Sorokan, Jane Kuehl and Angelina DiGirolamo scored once apiece, and the No. 7/6-ranked Princeton women's hockey team was a 5-0 winner over Dartmouth as the Tigers picked up three points toward staying at the top of the ECAC Hockey standings and three points toward moving to the top of the Ivy League standings.Â
Uma Corniea made all 17 saves as Princeton outshot the Big Green 62-23 overall and 41-17 on goal. The shutout was Princeton's eighth of the season, tying a program record set in the 2002-03 season.Â
The win was Princeton's 20th of the season, making this the eighth 20-win season in program history and first since the 2019-20 campaign.
The win lifted Princeton to 44 points in the ECAC Hockey standings, giving the Tigers at least a three-point cushion heading into Saturday, with additional games still to be played Friday night. In the Ivy standings, Princeton moved up to 16 points, and with no Ivy-on-Ivy games other than the three Princeton has to play, the Tigers need just two wins to overcome current leader Cornell and clinch the Ivy title.Â
Sorokan scored a rebound goal less than two minutes into the game to get Princeton on the board, and late in the second period Wunder scored goal 30 seconds apart to push the Tiger lead to 3-0, scoring first on a breakaway and then on a rebound goal.
The third period saw Kuehl with an on-the-spot goal at the left post three minutes in, and with less than eight minutes to go, DiGirolamo sent one in from the slot for the final goal.
Wunder's two goals lifted her to a team-high 23 on the season, moving her to within two goals of becoming the fourth player in program history, and first since 1995, with at least two career 25-goal seasons.Â
The Tigers will head to Harvard on Saturday for a 3 p.m. start.
