Alan Dandar, the former special assistant to the recruiting coordinator at Temple, is in his third year as the Princeton director of football operations. He replaced Mike Fassel, who left Princeton after the 2007 season to work in real estate. Dandar works closely with all phases of the Princeton football program, especially in the areas of recruiting.
Dandar spent a year at Temple, where, under head coach Al Golden, his responsibilities ranged from creating recruiting mailers and marketing pieces to assisting with practice and coordinating video presentations for the coaching staff and team. His extensive computer knowledge allowed him to assist the athletic department with fundraising efforts and game promotions, which led to both single-game and total season attendance records.
Prior to his time at Temple, Dandar worked with the Philadelphia Eagles and for the department of basketball statistics with the Philadelphia 76ers under Hall of Fame statistician Harvey Pollack. He has also worked with the Comcast-Spectacor corporation and the IBM software group.
Dandar earned a computer science degree at Penn State in 2004 and earned his MBA at Drexel in 2006. He married his wife, Kristen, in the spring of 2008.
