Amir Bell's 3-pointer, the first and still the only of his one-game-old collegiate career, gave Princeton a 58-51 lead with 2:23 to play and the Broncs didn't make it a one-possession game again until 22 seconds remained and Princeton had a 60-58 lead. Ben Hazel and Spencer Weisz went 4 of 4 from the stripe from there to seal it. |

• Princeton is now 11-3 all-time against Rider and has won the last three games since the series resumed in 2011 after a nine-year hiatus. • Six players - Spencer Weisz, Hans Brase, Pete Miller, Amir Bell, Ben Hazel and Steven Cook - accounted for 93.5 percent of the minutes in the opener. • Princeton shot as well as 85 percent from the free throw line only three times in 30 games last season, against Dartmouth twice and against Yale. The Tigers were 17 of 20 (.850) from the line tonight. • Rider's four free throw attempts were the fewest for a Tiger opponent since Brown tried four on Feb. 3, 2012. • Ben Hazel's seven rebounds tied a career high. • Spencer Weisz's 18 points matched a career best he set against Cornell last February. |
