Incoming men's basketball freshman Myles Stephens will play in the Mary Kline Classic, an invitational regional all-star game in West Orange, N.J., on May 30.
The game, which benefits cancer research and will take place at East Orange High School on May 30 at 8:15 p.m. The fifth-annual event is drawing players from New England to South Carolina and as far west as Ohio. Stephens, who played at St. Andrews in Delaware, is a native of nearby Lawrence Township, N.J. The players involved in the game are set to play next season at schools from coast to coast, with UCLA, California, Stanford, North Carolina, Connecticut and Syracuse among the destinations.
New Jersey native Karl-Anthony Towns, who helped Kentucky to the Final Four this past season, played in last year's Kline Classic.
The program previously announced its four-member recruiting class, which will join a team that returns its top four scorers and six of its top seven after its sixth straight winning overall season and its seventh straight winning Ivy campaign.
