Tigers Look to Keep Streak Alive as They Host Dartmouth/Harvard

EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is currently riding a six-game unbeaten streak and is 10-6-2 overall and 6-4-1 in the ECAC. In the month of December, the Tigers outscored its opponents 25-8 and followed up with a 3-2 win over No. 8 Quinnipiac on New Year's Day. Sophomore Karlie Lund ranks fifth nationally in scoring with 28 points on 14 goals and 14 assists. Senior defender Kelsey Koelzer has 19 points on five goals and 14 assists, while senior Cassidy Tucker has seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points. Five other skaters are in double digits in scoring, including ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week Carly Bullock who has 14 points. Junior Alysia DaSilva is 6-5-2 with a .914 save percentage and a 2.21 goals against average. The ECAC Goalie of the Week, freshman Steph Neatby is 4-1 with a .940 save percentage and a 1 .85 GAA. The Tigers have the sixth-best scoring offense, averaging 3.50 goals per game and has the 10th best power play, converting on 16 of 95 chances.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth is 2-10 overall and 1-6 in the ECAC. The squad has lost its last five games, and last played on Dec. 10 at Vermont. Seniors Kennedy Ottenbreit and Eleni Tebano both are tied for the scoring lead with seven goals apiece. Freshman Christina Rombaut has five points, while sophomore Caroline Shaunessy leads the defenders with four points. Senior Robyn Chemago has a 2-7 record as the starting goalie, and has a .919 save percentage and a 2.76 GAA. Backup sophomore Christie Honor has an .888 save percentage and a 3.45 GAA in three games.
THE PRINCETON/DARTMOUTH SERIES
Princeton leads the all-time series with Dartmouth 42-32-6 since the teams first met during the 1979-80 season. The Tigers went 18-1 through that first decade of competition with the Big Green. Last year the Tigers swept Dartmouth by matching 4-1 scores. Earlier this season the Big Green snapped a six-game unbeaten streak in the series in a 3-2 overtime win in Hanover thanks to a goal by Eleni Tebano and a 45-save performance by Robyn Chemago.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
Harvard is 1-9-1 overall, winning their season opener versus Dartmouth before losing its next nine games. The squad played to a 3-3 tie with Colgate in its last game, back on Dec. 3. Senior Sydney Daniels has a team-high five goals and one assist for six points. Junior Lexie Laing also has six points on three goals and three assists apiece. A pair of freshmen, Val Turgeon and Kat Hughes have five points each. Harvard has used three netminders this season but have favored senior Molly Tissenbaum. Tissenbaum has made six starts and has a .924 save percentage and a 2.95 GAA. Senior Brianna Laing has a .918 save percentage and a 2.72 GAA in four games. Harvard's power-play unit has scored four times on 35 chances (11.4%), while the penalty kill is 45 of 53 (84.9%).
THE PRINCETON/HARVARD SERIES
The Crimson hold a 47-32-4 lead in the all-time series with Princeton. The teams have split the series the last two seasons. The Tigers won a 2-1 game in overtime earlier this season in Cambridge with freshmen defender Julia Edgar notching the winning goal in extra time.
