PRINCETON/QUINNIPIAC SERIES
Princeton swept Quinnipiac this season with a 3-2 win at Hobey Baker Rink on New Year's Day followed bu a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday afternoon game in Hamden on Jan. 31. Princeton and Quinnipiac have met two other times in the post season with the Bobcats going 4-0, sweeping the Tigers in the quarterfinals in 2010-11 at Baker and in 2014-15 at TD Bank Sports Center. The Tigers have only gone 4-0 with a regular season sweep and a quarterfinal sweep just once in playoff history - that was in 2005-06 when the Tigers beat Colgate four times. That was also the last season Princeton reached the ECAC semifinals. The all-time series is tight between the two squad with Quinnipiac holding a one-game lead 13-12-4, since the teams first met in 2001. This is the only series of the four in the ECAC playoffs this weekend, that features two nationally-ranked squads.
