EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton enters the ECAC Championship weekend with a 20-9-3 overall record as the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Tigers finished the ECAC season with a 14-6-2 record, defeated Quinnipiac in the quarterfinals and are currently ranked No. 8 in both national polls. Princeton's top line is lethal, combining for 105 points - accounting for 38% of the team's point production. Center Karlie Lund leads the way with 44 points on 21 goals and 23 assists. Left winger Molly Contini has 31 points on 12 goals and 19 assists, while right winter Carly Bullock has 20 goals and 10 assists. Also factor into the mix senior defender Kelsey Koelzer who has 31 points on eight goals and 23 assists. Senior Cassidy Tucker and freshman defender Claire Thompson have also reached the 20-point plateau with Tucker recording 25 points and while Thompson has 20. In goal, freshman Steph Neatby has a 12-4-1 record with a .953 save percentage and a 1.38 GAA.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS
Clarkson is the No. 1 seed in the tournament after posting a 19-1-2 ECAC mark and is 27-4-5 overall to rank No. 3 in the national polls. Senior Cayley Mercer is the Golden Knight's main offensive weapon as she has 25 goals and 30 assists for 55 points. Mercer was recently named a top-3 finalist for the Patty Kazmaier award. Senior Genevieve Bannon is 10 points back with a team-best 31 assists and 14 goals. Sophomore Loren Gabel has collected 33 points, while freshman Michaela Pejzlova and junior defender Savannah Harmon have 31 points apiece. Junior Shea Tiley is 23-4-5 in goal with a 1.70 GAA and a .924 save percentage.
PRINCETON/CLARKSON SERIES
Clarkson holds a one-game advantage in the all-time series, 15-14-2. The Golden Knights are unbeaten in the last eight meetings, going 7-0-1 since Nov. 2013. Princeton's last win in the series was a 4-1 game in Feb. 2013. The series began in 1982 with Princeton going 9-0-1 in the first 10 outings. This past November, Princeton took a 2-0 lead with two goals in the first before Clarkson tied it with two in the second, a power-play less than two minutes into the third would be the game winner before an empty-net goal gave Clarkson a 4-2 win. In the most recent meeting, the teams were tied 1-1 after the first and before the game-winner at 11:44 of the third, with an empty-net goal tacked on to make it 3-2.
