Grace became involved with Business Today magazine and online journal team because of her love of writing and her desire to test her skills with a topic in which she didn't have previous expertise. Over the last year, she has branched out significantly; Grace became the Assistant Director of Student Relations for the club's Women in Business Conference. Women in Business is a student-run conference that links aspiring undergraduate women with highly accomplished women in the business world. Women in Business is proud to have created a strong mentorship community for women within the world of business. As AD of Student Relations, she played a large role in the creation of the application; acceptance of attendees; organization of travel, food, and lodging; and working with the attendees on the days of the conference.
This spring, Grace became the Assistant Director of Student Relations for the Designation Conference. Designation is a student-run conference that strives to empower the next generation of design-driven leaders through hands-on workshops on prototyping, sessions about ideating, and intimate talks about leading. This was the first year the Business Today held the Designation Conference and she is proud to have been a part of something that is completely new to the club.
Grace on her involvement with Business Today:
"Being involved in a club like Business Today on top of my academics and rowing is very important to me. Coming into Princeton as a recruited athlete, I wanted to make sure that I did not let my sport consume my life or take away from other opportunities I may pursue. I have not found this to be the case at all and I think that branching out and being a part of clubs that are not athletics-oriented has added extreme value to my Princeton career. I have not found the time constraints caused by athletics and clubs to be impossible in the slightest and I look forward to continuing to be involved in the two in the future."
