Opening the 2020 portion of the schedule, the nation's seventh-ranked Princeton women's hockey team will host Saint Anselm for two games Friday and Saturday at Baker Rink, both 3 p.m. starts with free admission.
This will be the first meeting between the teams. Saint Anselm, a member of the New England Women's Hockey Association, enters the weekend at 10-4 and having won seven in a row before a loss in its last game to Manhattanville on Dec. 7.
The Saint Anselm games will be Princeton's first before returning to ECACÂ Hockey play at Dartmouth and Harvard next weekend. Princeton leads the ECAC with 16 points, one more than Cornell and two more than Harvard heading out of the holiday break. Union, Harvard, Dartmouth and RPI will play league games this weekend before all 12 teams are in league action next weekend.
Princeton counts sophomore Sarah Fillier as the nation's fourth-ranked player in assists per game at 1.31 and fifth in points per game at 1.92. Fillier leads the team with 25 points and 17 helpers, while senior teammate Carly Bullock has a team-high 11 goals. Katy Meehan leads Saint Anselm with 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points.
