Pair of Ivy-Unbeaten Teams Set to Meet Saturday as Tigers Visit Brown

Two of the three Ivy-unbeaten women's soccer teams will meet this weekend in Rhode Island when Princeton heads to Brown on Saturday.

On Princeton: The Tigers are 9-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the Ivy in what is the team's best record through 11 games since 2017 (10-1). Thirteen players, the most since 2011, have scored a goal, led by six-goal scorer senior Gabi Juarez. In goal, lead keeper senior Grace Barbara is 6-1-1 with an 0.97 GAA. Princeton stood 31st in the nation in RPI starting the week as the league had five teams, more than half the conference, in the national top 100 and seven of the eight in the top 150.
On Brown:Â The Bears are 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the Ivy as well with a three-game win streak on the line. Ten Bears, co-led by Brittany Raphino and Ava Seelenfreund with five goals apiece, have scored this year, and Kayla Thompson is the team's lead keeper with a 1.26 GAA and all 10 of the team's decisions on the year. Brown stands 47th in the country in RPI.
Series History:Â Brown leads the all-time series 20-18-4 and has won the last two, 1-0 in Providence in 2019 and 3-2 in Princeton in 2018. The Tigers' last win over Brown was in 2017 in Providence, 2-1. Rebecca Rosen and Claire Myers scored for Brown in the 2018 game in Princeton, and Ava Seelenfreund had the lone goal in the 2019 game in Princeton, and Kayla Thompson had the shutout in goal for the Bears in 2019.
Next Up:Â Following back-to-back weekends on the road, Princeton will return home to host Columbia on Oct. 16.
