Tatum Gee scored less than two minutes apart in the game's final eight minutes, helping lead Princeton to a 3-1 win at George Mason on Thursday night in Virginia to start a two-match road trip around the nation's capital region with a trip to No. 8 Georgetown next on Sunday.

George Mason took a lead less than three minutes into the game when it kept the ball in the attacking zone after a corner kick, allowing Kolbrún Eyjólfsdóttir a chance to thread one into the goal.

That turned out to be the last goal of the night for the Patriots, who put three shots on goal on the game and saw keeper Grace Barbara save the last two. Princeton outshot GMU 5-3 on goal and 9-5 overall for the game.

The equalizer came in the 53rd minute, when a handball in the 18-yard box led to a Lily Bryant PK goal.

It stayed 1-1 until seven minutes remained in the game, when Lucy Rickerson sent a ball forward for Heather MacNab, who drew a defender off Gee and opened the chance for the go-ahead goal.

Less than two minutes later, Gee struck again, this time taking a pass forward from Bryant just before midfield and racing past the last Patriot defender to set up a one-on-one opportunity with GMU keeper Louisa Moser, which Gee finished.

Princeton's visit to Georgetown is set for a 1 p.m. kick on Sunday. The Hoyas will be facing their second Ivy opponent of the weekend after drawing with Dartmouth on Thursday afternoon, 1-1.
