Women's Hockey Tops Harvard, Ties Program Win Streak Record
January 16, 2026 | Women's Ice Hockey
Goals 12 seconds apart before the midpoint of the first period set the tone on Friday night at Baker Rink, and the No. 9-ranked Princeton women's hockey team controlled throughout in a 3-1 win over Harvard.
The win was Princeton's 12th in a row, tying a program record set during the 2015-16 season.
Jane Kuehl scored on a breakaway after being sprung by Riley Sorokan before six minutes were gone in the game, and just 16 seconds later Megan Healy fired back a clearing attempt by Harvard that caromed off a Crimson defender and in for a 2-0 lead.
Issy Wunder extended her goal-scoring streak to a sixth game just 48 seconds into the second period when she put back her own rebound for a 3-0 Tiger lead.Â
Harvard got on the board with a Carla McSweeney power-play goal just past the midpoint of the third period, but the Tigers held off the comeback bid. Princeton outshot Harvard 69-35 overall and 37-16 on goal, with Uma Corniea making 15 stops in the win.
Princeton will turn right around to host Dartmouth on Saturday at 3 p.m. with the chance to set a program win-streak record.
