Hummer '13 to Continue Pro Career in Russia

Ian Hummer, the 2013 Ivy League Player of the Year and the second-leading scorer in program history, has signed to play with Avtodor Saratov in Russia.

Hummer has played in Finland, Germany and most recently Turkey since finishing a Princeton career that saw him earn three All-Ivy League honors, including first-team honors as a junior and a senior. His 1,625 career points and 625 career field goals made are each second only to Bill Bradley '65. His 725 rebounds are fifth all-time and his 308 assists were fourth when he graduated and are now sixth. Two other players who recently agreed to pro contracts, Spencer Weisz '17 (Israel) and T.J. Bray '14 (Greece), later joined Hummer with 300-plus career assists.

Hummer is the fourth Tiger alum to ink a pro deal over the summer, along with Weisz, Bray and Steven Cook '17 (Estonia).

Avtodor Saratov is in Russia's VTB league, the top level of professional basketball in the country. The team plays in the town of Saratov, about 500 miles southeast of Moscow.
