SERIES INFORMATION
After meeting four times in 2018-19 and eight times total since the beginning of the 2017-18 season, Princeton and Brown meet for the first time this season. The two teams have split the eight meetings over the last two season, each completing a two-game sweep in the ECAC Playoffs. Last season, the Bears won the series in Providence, moving to 90-72-11 all-time in the series. In 2017-18, Princeton went 3- 1 against the Bears -- including a two-game sweep in the ECAC Playoffs en route to the championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
LAST TIME VS. THE BEARS
The two teams almost played two complete games the last time they met, Brown escaping with a 6-5 win in 3 OTs in Providence. The Tigers fought to the finish, scoring three empty-net goals in a span of 2:47 to force overtime. Ultimately, Alex Brink scored 3:390 into the third overtime to win the series for the Bears. Jackson Cressey had a goal and three assists for Princeton, including the game-tying goal with 48 seconds left.
CRESSEY'S CORNER
Senior Jackson Cressey is second on the team in points with 14 through 21 games. His 10 assists are second on the team, and he is the only Tiger to have scored on both the power play and penalty kill this season. He still sits second on the team in points despite going without a point over his last four games before notching an assist last time out against No. 1 Cornell. Prior to that stretch, he had notched a point in 5 of 6 games. With 108 career points, he is 11th on the Tigers' all-time list and he is nine away from the No. 10 spot. He's sixth on the career assists list with 78 and is one away from No. 5.
ANDONOVSKI ACTIVATED
Sophomore Corey Andonovski leads the Tigers in goals (6), assists (11) and points (17) over 20 games this season. He has six multi-point games this season, including 4 of his last 11 appearances. He has notched 8 points over his last 9 games.
LUCKY LUKE
Luke Keenan redirected home the only goal of the game in a 1-0 overtime win at St. Lawrence on January 11, beating the buzzer to score with 0.6 seconds remaining. The goal was his third in five games and he has 6 points over his last 7 games.
KILLING IT
Princeton is 73-for-92 (79.8) on the penalty kill this season, ranking No. 40 in the country. The Tigers have killed 29 of their last 36 penalties (80.5%) and will look to rebound after Colgate and No. 1 Cornell went 6-for-11 on the PP last weekend.
POWERING UP
Princeton has scored a power-play goal in seven of its last 12 games, scoring 10 total PPGs since the UNH game in Belfast. The Tigers now have at least one PPG in 12-of-20 games this season. Last time out, the Tigers scored three PPGs against No. 1 Cornell. Corey Andonovski and Derek Topatigh lead the team with three power play goals each while Liam Grande, Spencer Kersten and Christian O'Neill each have two. Overall, nine different players have scored at least one PPG for the Tigers.
