PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's basketball team takes on Yale inside the John J. Lee Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, in New Haven Connecticut.
Last Time Out
With help from five double-digit scorers, the Tigers outlasted Dartmouth in an overtime thriller on Saturday, January 21, inside Jadwin Gymnasium 93-30.

In the victory, which was the 199th of Franklin C. Cappon-Edward C. Green '40 Head Coach Mitch Henderson's career, senior Tosan Evbuomwan led the way with a team-high 20 points, along with a game-high five assists and three rebounds. Senior Keeshawn Kellman added 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting and five rebounds, while freshman Caden Pierce had his second-straight double-double with a career-high 17 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, tying his career-best in that category. Senior Matt Allocco finished with 17 points on 6-for-10 shooting, seven rebounds and two assists, and senior Ryan Langborg rounded out Princeton's double-digit scorers with 11 points and a game-high three blocks.

With 199 wins as a Head Coach, Mitch Henderson is one win away from 200 career wins. He is currently third all-time in wins at Princeton; Franklin (Cappy) Cappon is second with 250, and Pete Carril first with 514.

Princeton's victory over Cornell on Friday, February 3, marked 100 regular-season Ivy League wins for Franklin C. Cappon-Edward C. Green '40 Head Coach Mitch Henderson. He became the eighth Ivy League men's basketball coach to reach the milestone, and the second from Princeton as Pete Carril sits atop the list with 310 regular-season conference wins.
Crashing The Boards
The Tigers have been one of the best rebounding teams in the nation so far in 2022-23, with their 30.11 defensive rebounds per game ranking No. 3 in the nation. Princeton's rebound margin of 8.6 also ranks No. 4 nationally, and the Tigers rank No. 16 in the nation in rebounds per game, averaging 39.79.

The Tigers' Effective field goal percentage of 54.4% ranks No. 40 in the country, and the Tigers' field goal percentage of 47.3% ranks No. 54 nationally.

Ivy Rookie of the Week
Pierce was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Monday, January 23, for the second time this season. Against Dartmouth, Pierce had a second-straight double-double and his third in the last four games, finishing with a career-high 17 points on 4-for-8 shooting from the field and 7-for-10 shooting from the free throw line. His seven made free throws were a career-high and Pierce also tied his career-high in rebounds, leading the game with 13. Additionally, he tied the game-high in steals with two.

Pierce leads the team and ranks seventh in the Ivy League in rebounding with 6.4 and has a team-high 16 steals. He is the second Tiger to be named Rookie of the Week, as freshman Xaivian Lee earned the conference's top weekly honor for newcomers on Monday, November 28, 2022.

200 Assists For Evbuomwan
In the first half of Princeton's game against Iona on Tuesday, December 13, Evbuomwan found Pierce for the 200th assist of his career. Evbuomwan's 142 assists in the 2021-22 season were No. 2 all-time at Princeton, trailing only William F. Ryan's 161 assists in the 1983-84 season.

His 250 career assists rank No. 16 in school history, and with four more will pass Texas Rangers Associate Manager Will Venable '05 on the Tigers' all-time list.

The 2022 Ivy League Player of the Year
Evbuomwan has continued his stellar play in the 2022-23 season, ranking first on the team and sixth in the Ivy League in scoring with 13.6 points on 51.6% shooting, which ranks 10th in the conference. He also ranks second on the team in rebounding and seventh in the conference with 6.0 per game, leads the Ivy League in assists with 4.5 and is tied for third on the team in steals with 12. Evbuomwan's assist/turnover ratio of 1.4 also ranks fifth in the conference.

100 Made Threes For Langborg
With 127 made three-pointers in his career, Langborg ranks No. 15 all-time in school history for made three-pointers. This was accomplished in a shortened 2019-20 season and no 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, 22 Tigers have exceeded 100 made three-pointers in their career. Langborg is also averaging 12.4 points per game, which ranks second on the team and 12th in the Ivy League, and his 2.2 three-pointers per game rank fourth in the conference. Additionally, Langborg's 66 made three-pointers in the 2021-22 rank No. 13 all-time at Princeton for most made three-pointers in a season.

A Presence Inside
Kellman has provided the Tigers with a reliable presence inside in 2022-23, averaging 9.2 points (No. 4 on the team) on 64.3% shooting (No. 1 in the Ivy League) along with 4.8 rebounds. He has scored in double digits in nine games, and Kellman's 15 blocked shots rank eighth in the Ivy League.

Allocco has taken his game to another level this season, and ranks third on the team in scoring with 10.9 points on 49.7% shooting from the field and 41.6% shooting from three, which ranks No. 3 in the Ivy League. He also ranks third on the team in rebounding with 5.2, second in assists with 43 and second in steals with 14.
