No. 5 Princeton Finishes 2018 Regular Season With Senior Day vs. Penn

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 5 Princeton Tigers complete the 2018 regular season with Senior Day against the Penn Quakers on Saturday (Nov. 3). The game will get started at 12 p.m. and be streamed on ESPN+.

What's Going On:
- Clara Roth and Julianna Tornetta scored twice each as No. 5 Princeton took down Cornell, 4-0, at Dodson Field last Saturday (Oct. 27).
- It was Tornetta's fifth career multi-goal game and the fourth for Roth.
- Princeton outshot Cornell, 38-1, in the game and secured 17 corners while not allowing one. The win also gave head coach Carla Tagliente her 100th career victory.
- The Tigers are the NCAA leaders in penalty corners per game (8.63). They are second in the Ivy League in defensive saves per contest (2.5), goals against average (1.16), goals per game (3.38), points per game (8.63), scoring average (3.3), scoring margin (2.14) and winning percentage (.750).
- MaryKate Neff's five defensive saves are second in the Ivy League and 9th in the country.
- Hannah Davey and Clara Roth are tied for second in the conference in assists per game (0.5).
- Five Tigers (Sophia Tornetta, Ali McCarthy, Julianna Tornetta, Roth and Neff) are among the top 11 in the Ivy League in goals per game.
- Princeton has three players (Roth, Tornetta, Tornetta) among the top 10 in the conference in points per game.
- Grace Baylis is second in the Ivy League in goals against average (1.20).
- The Tigers have two alums on the United States national team in Cat Caro '17 and Kathleen Sharkey '13.
- Sharkey has 145 caps for the U.S., highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the 2016 Rio Olympics. She also helped the unit to a bronze medal in the Pan American Cup last summer, leading the tournament in scoring with five goals.
- Caro has made 15 appearances for the national squad, recording her first cap in January and her first international goal in April.
- Maddie Bacskai and MaryKate Neff named to the U.S. U-21 team in July while Sophia Tornetta was picked for the developmental squad.
- Princeton is 27-15-3 all-time against Penn. The Tigers are 14-5-2 in Princeton against the Quakers.
- The Tigers have won 12 straight against the Quakers. The last loss at home for Princeton against Penn was during the 2004 season.
- Maddie Bacskai's goal with 12 minutes to go proved to be the game-winner as No. 14 Princeton wrapped up the outright Ivy League Championship with a 2-1 victory over Penn at Ellen Vagelos Field.
- The Tigers finished with a 13-4 shot advantage, holding the Quakers to one attempt in the second half.
- Penn is 9-7 this season and 5-1 in the Ivy League. The Quakers' only conference loss was a 2-1 overtime decision to Harvard. Penn has one win over a ranked team in No. 14 Wake Forest.
- Alexa Schneck has been the team's best offensive player with 21 points. She has eight goals and five assists to pace the offense.
- Ava Rosati has posted a .706 save percentage and 1.51 GAA as the team's goalie this season.
